Jeffrey Jose – Electrical Engineer, Partum Engineering
Jeffrey's journey as an engineer began when he completed an internship with Cardno BEC while completing a Masters of Electrical Power Engineering degree at Edith Cowan University.
After graduating, he joined specialist electrical engineering design and consultancy services company APD Engineering, where he stayed for a year before joining SG Controls.
Unfortunately, he was made redundant after six months when the COVID-19 pandemic hit last year.
He is now working as an electrical engineer at Partum Engineering.
Partum specialises in the design and delivery of high voltage powerlines, substations and generation (including renewables).
He said his specialisation in electrical engineering gave him a head-start when he joined the company.
“My area of specialisation is closely related to the work Partum is doing and I’m currently working on HV power design drawings,” Jeffrey said.
A desire to work in the LNG sector drove Jeffrey to become a member of the Petroleum Club of WA two years ago, where he enjoys the opportunity to network with professionals in the energy industry.
“I have never worked in oil and gas,” Jeffrey said. “But the idea of working in the new energy sector has always appealed to me.
“Particularly, I have a great interest in LNG, renewable power, electric rail and hydrogen energy.”
Jeffrey likes to keep up to date with the latest technology news on YouTube in his spare time and takes every opportunity to watch sci-fi movies and cycle around Perth.
