Dylan Moss - General Manager, PAC
Rising from graduate engineer to general manager in just seven years, Dylan Moss is driving diversification with an eye to the future.
Graduating from Curtin University in 2012 as a mechanical engineer, he started work with PAC (Pipeline Actuation Control) in valving sales and project delivery.
Now he is General Manager, tasked with growing the business in the hydrogen sector.
“PAC, part of the Australian-owned HIFraser Group, is best known for its quality valve supply to the oil and gas industry,” Dylan said.
“Over the years we have developed a strong supply chain including actuators, instrumentation and control products.
“We also have a strong team of engineers who design, build and commission a range of specialised products across Australia.
“But one of our key focus points for the future is playing our part in the hydrogen industry and I am enjoying the challenge of pushing PAC in a direction that diversifies us as a company and assists in the diversification and decarbonisation of the energy sector in Australia.
“We are engaged in a partnership with French technology provider, Elogen, to manufacture hydrogen electrolysers locally in Australia utilising Elogen manufactured stacks.
“We have strong relationships with OEMs for storage, compression and dispensing components, which we offer independently or as part of a complete hydrogen system.
“Our engineers are currently working on multiple projects throughout Australia assisting key end users to deliver hydrogen solutions.”
Dylan has been a member of the Energy Club for two-and-a-half years and enjoys the networking events.
“They always present relevant information and the events themselves are a great way to interact with the wider industry,” he said.
A father to “two fantastic kids”, his family is his biggest motivator.
“I want to provide for them and give a positive example for my kids to follow,” Dylan said.
And if there is a need to put out a fire, Dylan is the right person, having held a leadership position with the local bushfire brigade. He cites this among his achievements, along with leadership in his local cricket club and being tasked with spearheading the HIFraser Group’s journey into hydrogen.
