At the Energy Club WA’s September Industry Dinner, the panel discussion explored the complex realities of Western Australia’s energy transition. The conversation was grounded in a shared understanding that the path to net zero will require a balanced mix of molecules and electrons.
At the Politics & Business Breakfast hosted by Business News, the Hon. Amber-Jade Sanderson MLA, WA’s Minister for Energy, Decarbonisation, Manufacturing, Skills & TAFE, and the Pilbara, placed industry, infrastructure, and community at the heart of Western Australia’s energy transition.
Meet our member of the month, Mark Williams. Having worked in the energy industry for 23 years, starting out as a Chemical Engineer, his career has taken him from Melbourne to London, and now Perth, with roles at KBR, g3 Consulting, Genesis, and most recently Long Energy.
"I won't allow WA to be the policy equivalent of a long-abandoned Blockbuster video store in the suburbs," said Premier Roger Cook, as he announced major reforms to the state's development framework.
