Monadelphous heads for new home in Karratha
The Monadelphous team in Karratha has moved to premises at the Gap Ridge Facility, establishing a new hub to service current and future operations.
Developed as part of the State Government’s Pilbara Cities initiative, the estate provides a strategic base for businesses to tap into the billions of dollars of projects underway in the region.
Large lot sizes cater for industries requiring extra space for manufacturing, assembly, lay down or storage use. Roads to the estate can easily accommodate B-triple road trains.
Monadelphous General Manager Heavy Lift Lorna Rechichi said the facility demonstrated the company’s commitment to the North-West and confidence in the strong pipeline of work opportunities in the region.
“This facility showcases our multi-disciplined service offering to our clients and we have a fantastic opportunity to work closely together and leverage value as an integrated team," she said.
The facility is Monadelphous’ new hub in the region to support mining and minerals North West, engineering construction projects, heavy lift, and group assets for storage, logistics, and equipment.
The estate is 2km from the airport and 9km from the Karratha town centre.
The new facility replaces a workshop in the Karratha Light Industrial Estate with modern facilities needed for current and future operations. It includes 2,975 sqm of workshops and a 615 sqm office for approximately 50 people.
Major projects supported at Gap Ridge include Chevron’s Gorgon and Wheatstone LNG projects and Woodside’s Pluto LNG operations, with occupants at the estate including Toll, Monadelphous, Centurion, Swire Oilfield Services and Coates Hire.
