Member Under the Microscope
Ed Pepper, CEO of Callidus Group
Ed brings a unique combination of strategic vision and genuine connection-building to his role as
CEO at Callidus Group.
A tenured member of the Energy Club WA for over a decade, his recent appointment to the Board of Governors in April 2024 underscores his dedication to the Perth business community. He aims to leverage
his expertise to drive the Club's strategic goals and enhance value for members.
This focus on connection extends beyond the boardroom. He values relationships fostered through the
Energy Club, highlighting how these encounters often lead to new collaborations – turning acquaintances
into clients, colleagues or even friends.
At work, he champions a people-centric approach, prioritising the creation of a safe, successful, and engaging work environment that fosters employee well-being.
He finds deep satisfaction in "serving the wonderful people" of Callidus, as he is known to say, and takes
pride in their accomplishments.
A personal aspiration of Ed’s is to live long enough to teach his great-grandchildren how to ride a bicycle.
This desire to create lasting memories and connections across generations highlights the importance he
places on fostering bonds.
His career trajectory is a testament to his adaptability and global perspective. He possesses a diverse background, having held various roles across engineering, sales,
and general management. His extensive experience spans Europe, Asia, Middle East, and Africa.
This global exposure has equipped him with a well-rounded understanding of international business operations, allowing him to navigate complex market landscapes.
Despite his demanding schedule, Ed tries to prioritise his work-life balance. He maintains a strong commitment to his family, cherishing quality time spent with his wife
of 20 years and their children. He also dedicates time to his health and well-being through regular gym sessions.
A life-changing experience nearly two decades ago serves as a powerful motivator for him. The loss of his brother-in-law instilled in him a deep desire to live life to
the full and make the most of every opportunity.
He shares that this experience “set our lives on a path that led us living this wonderful life in Perth”. He wishes he had one more evening with his brother-in-law and for
him to have met his nieces.
Ed’s global experience brings a cosmopolitan perspective, but his heart lies in Western Australia. His playful aspiration for AFL to become a global sport, with Fremantle
taking the top spot, reflects his passion, dedication, and a touch of local pride.
